We're holding our first ever Awards Event this year on Saturday December 12th at the new Sports Hall at the La Chat Campus of the International School of Geneva.

The children will play cricket the whole time with the gym split in two so we'll have two games going on at once. We'll break at 17:30 for some food and the Awards presentation and then from 18:00 to 19:00 the kids will continue to play.

GCC is organising its first ever cricket coaching camp. We're going to have a specialist Australian coach - Rhys Miller from Victoria (see below for Rhys' summary CV) - come to Gingins on the above dates to run a coaching clinic for the kids from Gingins Cricket Club, Cossonay Cricket Club and Geneva Region Youth Cricket Club.
If you're not from any of those Cricket Clubs but still want to come along then of course you're very welcome - boy or girl, all are welcome at the Gingins Cricket Club!
The Camp will be held from Sunday August 16th to Tuesday August 18th at the Gingins Centre Sportif (for a map, visit the Games & Practice Schedule page.
The Camp will be run for kids in two groups:
- Nippers comprising Under 8s who will do half day sessions 16th, 17th and 18th
- Older kids up to Under 12 who will do a half day session on the 16th and full day sessions on 17th and 18th
The timetable for the days is as follows:
Sunday August 16th:
1400 to 1600: Coaching session run by GCC coaches, observed by Rhys
Monday August 17th:
Morning Session:
Nippers Group:
0900 to 1100: Skills Coaching session with Rhys
1100 to 1200: Game with GCC Coaches
Older Kids Group:
0900 to 1100: Coaching session and Game with GCC Coaches
1100 to 1200: Skills session with Rhys
1200: LUNCH
Afternoon Session:
Nippers Group:
No afternoon session for the Nippers, they’re finished for the day after lunch
Older Kids Group:
1300 to 1500: Skills Coaching session with Rhys
Tuesday August 18th:
Same timetable as for Monday August 17th
Snacks will be provided but participants will need to bring their own lunches and drinks.
Cost:
CHF80 per child in the Older Kids Group
CHF40 per child for the Nippers Group
